Thorsten Peisl 👍, CEO
Thorsten has more than two decades of capital market experience from global firms including State Street and Deutsche Bank. He has been responsible for the development of multi-million revenue products from concept to market adoption. At State Street, Thorsten initiated and launched a firm-wide corporate venture program to scout and invest in innovative and strategically aligned FinTech startups. Until end 2015 and before moving into the startup environment himself, Thorsten set up a new data and analytics business division as part of the management team and additionally led the corporate blockchain efforts for State Street out of Europe.
Since January 2016 Thorsten has been Chief Executive at KALYP Technologies. KALYP is an independent enterprise software company and expert on establishing industry consortia for more efficient processing of financial securities in digital format. KALYP’s flagship software is known as ‘Root’, based on open source from Hyperledger and currently used in three diverse asset classes including cross-borders public shares, carbon-neutral shares, and digital funds.
Thorsten grew up in Austria, completed programs at LBS, IMD, Harvard and has lived and worked in Frankfurt, London, New York, Boston, and Singapore.
